Set against the backdrop of the Italian Riviera, Genoa is a city where maritime heritage, cultural depth and contemporary innovation converge. As the capital of Liguria and Italy’s fifth-largest city, it has long played a central role in Mediterranean trade and navigation. Over time, Genoa has continuously redefined itself as a leading global destination for yachting, with Amico Marine, the evolution of Amico & Co, playing a pivotal role in this transformation.Rooted in a maritime tradition that dates back to the 18th century, the Amico family has built a reputation for reliability, craftsmanship and innovation. This legacy led to the founding of Amico & Co in 1991, today internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading superyacht rrefit shipyards. The introduction of Amico Marine, the new umbrella brand, marks a significant step forward. It brings together Amico & Co, offering refit and rebuild facilities for yachts up to 140 metres, Amico Loano, serving yachts up to 55 metres, the Gatti Shipyard, specialised in tender services from 8 to 30 metres, and Waterfront Marina, accommodating yachts up to 120 metres, alongside year-round tailored hospitality and world class yacht crew facilities and support. By combining infrastructure, shipyards designed by Renzo Piano and now nearing completion, the marina serves as both a physical and symbolic gateway between the city and the sea. Piano’s vision, centred on sustainability and ‘living urbanity’ has restored the connection between Genoa and its coastline, creating a vibrant district where people can live, work and experience the waterfront around the clock.Within this context, Waterfront Marina becomes a focal point of the area’s broader urban regeneration, enhancing both the city’s attractiveness and functionality, for residents, visitors and yacht crew alike. From a technical perspective, the marina has been designed to meet the highest international standards. It offers 26 exclusive berths for yachts up to 120 metres, ensuring privacy and tailored services. The infrastructure includes over 43,000 square metres of water surface, complemented by 15,000 square metres of onshore space. This careful balance allows for efficient operations while maintaining a level of exclusivity that is increasingly rare in the Mediterranean. Beyond its technical and strategic advantages, Waterfront Marina offers a refined onshore experience tailored to owners, guests and crew.

Facilities include a fully equipped gym, sports courts, lounges, meeting areas and dedicated service spaces. Every detail has been designed to support the practical and social dimensions of life, enhancing comfort and efficiency. What truly distinguishes Waterfront Marina, however, is its integration within the Amico Marine system. Berthing here is not an isolated experience; it is part of a seamless journey where refit capabilities, technical services, logistics and dedicated crew support are immediately accessible, all within a single, coordinated environment Amico Marine also plays a central role in the Genoa Superyacht Hub, an initiative developed by Amico & Co in partnership with Pesto Sea Group to position the city as a premier destination in the international yachting landscape. By combining world-class yachtingfacilities and strong territorial promotion, this ecosystem offers a unique value proposition: a single destination capable of meeting both operational and lifestyle needs. In this new configuration, Genoa is no longer simply a historic port of call; it is emerging as a fully integrated superyacht hub of international relevance. By offering a seamless combination of berthing and hospitality services, refit excellence, technical expertise, professional yachting courses, strategic positioning, and Mediterranean lifestyle, the city is redefining its role on the global yachting stage. For the international yachting community, Genoa represents more than just a destination, it is an experience shaped by tradition, driven by innovation, and designed for the future
