A Fusion of Luxury and Performance
Extreme. Epic. Legendary. Offering a decidedly different take on the traditional tender concept, the BRABUS Shadow 1200 Sun-Top Phantom Grey Signature Edition is the latest newcomer to BRABUS Marine’s stunning and well-established range.
It’s been six years since the first BRABUS Shadow 800 was presented to an unsuspecting audience at Boot Düsseldorf in 2018.
Since then, the brand has now become fully recognizable as outstanding, performance-oriented sports day-boats and occasional weekenders, with the kind of design style and shear physical presence that means they are often seen accompanying a much larger yacht, or superyacht, hence the ‘Shadow’ reference in the name.
The range now comprises the 25ft BRABUS Shadow 300, the 37ft BRABUS Shadow 1000 and, most recently, the 45ft BRABUS Shadow 1200 range with both Cross Cabin and Sun-Top versions available. But the biggest and most significant difference between these boats and other more formulaic tenders, lies in the fact these are boats that owners of superyachts will, most definitely, want to get behind the wheel of and drive by themselves.
Introducing the new BRABUS Shadow 1200 Sun Top Phantom-Grey Signature Edition
It was in Port Calanova, Mallorca, at the end of April, where ONBOARD Magazine, alongside 20 other marine and luxury lifestyle media were invited to witness the World Premier unveiling of the BRABUS Shadow 1200 Sun-Top Signature Edition in Phantom Grey, with hull accents and interior upholstery in striking BRABUS red.
It’s equally handsome sibling, the mean and magnificent looking BRABUS Shadow 1200 Black OPS Cross Cabin version, was launched at Boote Düsseldorf earlier this year, so the Mallorca press event provided the first genuine occasion that anyone had been able to see and experience the new boats in their natural environment.
There’s no doubt the BRABUS Shadow Sun-Top knows how to deliver next-level marine elegance and a 100% ‘Brabusized’ blast of fun.
With its breathtaking power delivery courtesy of triple Mercury Racing 400R 5.7litre V10 outboards, this boat seamlessly fuses the thrills of open-air boating and fast cruising with the highest levels of BRABUS luxury and sheltered comfort.
Powerful emotions and thrilling action await as you head out into the weekend and take on the elements aboard this luxurious explorer. Open up the dual electric sunroof above the helm area and connect with the outdoors like never before.
A superyacht tender with a difference
As much as the BRABUS Shadow 1200 Sun-Top looks the part moored in some of the most glamourous and glitziest marinas and exclusive resorts in the world, it is also an incredibly usable and fully practical option for professional captains and open-minded owners who might be looking for something different.
Truly impressive are the massive social spaces: the foredeck and the front lounge with the gullwing doors, the helm and cockpit area with large seating space centered around a wet bar, foldable balcony doors and various optional aft deck layouts to choose from.
The innovative layout allows for seamless movement all around the boat, making a day out fun and relaxing, especially with larger groups of people, charter guests and such like.
The massive social areas include up to two wet bars – one in the center of the boat and another, optionally integrated into the fender box in the back of the boat.
There is plenty of room to entertain, thanks to the extra-wide sociable sofa that wraps around the cockpit wet bar, a large dining area, large fold-out table, and optional u-sofa seating arrangement on the aft deck. Alternatively, a simple aft-deck bench, leaving the remainder of the aft-deck fully open can also be specified.
Such is the open-plan layout and intelligent use of deck space, it’s not untrue to say that if this boat was moored in a marina, it could host 20 or more people, who could all easily find somewhere to sit, with a drink in hand, while enjoying the last of the day’s sun. Or simply fold down the side-opening balcony doors in the hull and extend the onboard relaxation space even further. The ability of this boat to ‘swallow’ people and their gear is truly remarkable.
As standard, the front cabin interior space is ideal for carrying guest luggage, or watersport and lifestyle gear, with the option of at least doubling the carrying capacity by way of adding the Aft-Cabin Accommodation Package, which adds a second en-suite cabin, if that is the priority you feel you might need.
For setting the perfect mood and soundtrack, the guest experience can be enhanced with optional features, including an upgraded JL Audio systems and dimmable LED illuminated balcony doors, a carbon LED roof light module, underwater and deck lighting with optional full RGB lighting throughout the boat is available as well.
Before you make any final decision on your next tender or shadow support boat, be sure to include the amazing BRABUS Shadow range on your final short list as well.
