For the seventh consecutive time since 2012 the phenomenal rocks of Portugal’s Azores islands serve as the take-off points for awe-inducing cliff dives. More than any other venue on tour. In this unique volcanic archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where the men and women launch directly from the cliff face. Only for the more difficult optional dives the athletes use the platform construction placed above the ocean.

A return to the beautiful Lake Uri for the first time in 8 years. Switzerland plays a major role in the history of the sport as Red Bull Cliff Diving as such was born in Brontallo (Ticino) in July 1997 with the very first stand-alone event. Also, the scenic venue surrounded by glaciers hosts a stop of the Women’s World Series for the first time. The scenery in the tiny, picturesque village of Sisikon is incredible with high cliffs and a beautiful lake surrounded by high mountains

The Danish capital hosts the fifth stop of the season after a two-year break. After tackling 31 locations in 25 different countries since 2009, the 70th competition of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is hosted in the heart of the Danish capital, in front of the Amalienborg Palace. Stop 5 takes the World Series to the most northerly point in the entire season and provides the most panoramic view of Copenhagen.

The cliff diving elite will once again grace the beautiful and historic Stari Most. When the World Series returns to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the last-but-one stop in the 2018 season a fanatical crowd will eagerly await what the sport’s aesthetes have in store for them. This is the place where both, the traditional diving from the country’s most recognizable landmark is a sort of maturity test for young men, and the fine art of cliff diving, are equally respected.

The 2018 champions will be crowned at the home of European cliff diving. There’s no better place for the ‘grande finale’ in this anniversary season than Polignano a Mare. Hosted in the south of Italy for the sixth time in ten years, the sport’s European home provides the most unusual take-off point. The birthplace of Domenico Modugno, writer and interpreter of the world famous song “Volare” (flying), is part of the province of Bari, Puglia.

Since 2009, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series has provided a platform for aesthetic free-falls and dives of ever growing complexity, spotlighting the sport’s finest athletes as well as the most promising talents and in 2014 it introduced a Women’s World Series. Celebrating its 10th season in 2018, this rapidly progressing sport will crown two new champions during seven demanding competitions for the men and five for the women. Between June and September, this pure extreme sport will hit waters in natural and urban environments as well as remote and iconic venues of World Series classics.
