A global mark of quality and safety, reinforcing maintenance reliability and compliance.
Monaco, November 18, 2025 — DeepBlue, the yacht management platform designed to handle the full complexity of real-world operations, has announced that its Planned Maintenance System (PMS) module is now officially type-approved under DNV-CP-0206, a certification procedure established by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), one of the world’s leading classification and assurance bodies. The approval confirms that DeepBlue meets DNV’s technical requirements for safe, reliable, and compliant maintenance management onboard.
PMS software certified under DNV-CP-0206 must meet strict technical requirements and pass structured performance testing. Achieving certification means the PMS module has passed rigorous functionality, reliability, and classification rule tests, ensuring it supports vessel audits, inspections, and long-term safety standards. For yacht operators, using a certified PMS means smoother compliance, fewer audit challenges, and clearer maintenance traceability across vessels and fleets.
“This certification is more than a badge; it marks an important milestone for DeepBlue and demonstrates that our technology stands up to the same scrutiny our clients navigate daily,” said Diego Zanco, COO at DeepBlue. “We’ve always built with real operational conditions in mind, and this approval from DNV validates that our PMS module meets the level of trust, safety, and performance today’s fleets require.”
DNV adds: “DNV is pleased to award DeepBlue the PMS Type Approval Certificate under our new program, which strengthens standards for functionality, data connectivity, and compliance,” said Erik Spieler, Engineer, Machinery and MARPOL, Maritime, DNV AS. “The PMS module meets DNV’s rigorous requirements and enables standardized maintenance data transfer to DNV, a key step toward industry digitalization and the future of classification services.”
On a practical level, the certification assures yacht operators that the PMS module can be used with confidence during compliance checks and technical audits.
“From an execution standpoint, this means that all maintenance managed through DeepBlue now backs crews with recognized, third-party assurance,” added Maks Obelšer, CPO at DeepBlue. “What this means in real-life is: clearer maintenance records, easier inspections, and the reassurance that the system they’re using is built to recognized industry standards. And soon, we’ll be looking to expand that compliance even further.”
