Built by Heesen Yachts, GAJA combines the volume of a large displacement yacht with the performance of a high-speed superyacht, bringing together advanced naval architecture, striking design and exceptional craftsmanship.
At approximately 1,200GT, she is substantial in scale, yet her aluminium construction and highly efficient hull form give her an unusual combination of speed, range and efficiency. From the outset, GAJA was developed around an ambitious performance brief. 
Reaching 30 knots in a yacht of this size required a fundamental focus on hydrodynamic efficiency rather than simply adding power. The Fast Displacement Hull Form developed by Van Oossanen reduces resistance by up to 20 per cent, allowing GAJA to achieve exceptional speeds while retaining the characteristics of a displacement yacht. The results are remarkable. During full-load sea trials, she accelerated to 30 knots in just 75 seconds and reached an unofficial top speed of 32.7 knots. Yet speed is only one part of the equation. At 12 knots, GAJA has a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles, giving her the capability for substantial passages while maintaining an efficient cruising profile.
