Capt. Leandro Quiroz was appointed by Christophe Harbour to develop the fishing tournaments in the region and is looking forward to a busy schedule in 2018. Pelagic fish are abundant in the surrounding waters with tuna, mahi mahi, blue marlin, striped marlin and spearfish waiting for the visiting sport fishing boats. One of the best fishing spots is an area called the ‘drop’ or the ‘edge.’ It’s where the depth goes from 80-100ft to 300-1000ft! Quiroz tells us “When trolling the edge at 10-12 knots and that reel just screams!!!! Oh boy…my heart just wants to pop out of my chest.”
