KingCat 90 Power Catamaran

Hong Kong based shipyard, Kingship Yachts, bring a ‘less is more’ approach to the under 24m yacht market.

The KingCat90 luxurious power catamaran concept combines the space, volume and prestige normally associated with much larger yachts, offering multiple benefits for owner/operators, including reduced cost to build, reduced manning requirements and less rules and regulations that apply for yachts above 24m hull length.

Background to the KingCat 90 design
Kingship Yachts have been building 40m to 50m fast catamarans for commercial clients for many years and are highly experienced in this field.

In terms of space and volume, the KingCat 90 with 308 Gross Tonnage internal volume compares favourably with much larger 40m+ monohull designs. An 11.40m max beam and 23.98m waterline length over four deck levels, means the volume to length ratio has resulted in exceptional interior and exterior living space.

Exemplified in the superb master cabin with private owner’s balcony on the port side and it’s a room that more resembles a penthouse apartment than anything you might expect to find on a yacht.

With unimpeded views and plenty of incoming natural light, the master suite is accompanied by a further four large guest cabins on main deck level.

Accommodation rooms are accessed via a central lobby and stairwell that connects to a full-width external aft deck.

The outer-most section of the aft-deck is an up/down lifting platform of commercial grade quality acting as an extension of the aft-deck that can be raised or lowered offering direct access to the sea. The tender can be boarded in safety in the lowered position and/or stored safely out of the way in the raised position.

A walkaround upper deck contains the open-plan bridge and navigation area, with the main dining table and seating for twelve along with a TV lounge area and separate bar area, with doors opening onto a second aft-deck external seating and al-fresco dining area.

Guests can relax on the spectacular full width foredeck, with lounge style seating and sun-pads offering sensational forward-aspect panoramic views. For utmost privacy, the Fly/bridge deck has further seating and sun-pad spaces available.

The KingCat 90 has space provision for a maximum of 12 guests and 8 crew, but, in legal terms, it requires just one captain and one professional crew to charter.
