CANADOS CATAMARANS

Iconic Roman shipyard Canados has just released its newest model and first in a line of four power catamaran models, the Heritage 36’. This very innovative concept will surely attract yacht owners to be used as a chase boat. Throughout the development of the Heritage 36’, extraordinary attention went into design and ergonomics. But perhaps the highest level of rigour was applied where it matters most- behind the scenes: engineering. The kind you don’t notice at first glance…and the kind that changes everything from the first cruise. Its hull foundation draws inspiration from their offshore race boat, reinterpreted for luxury day boating. But nothing was simply transferred: sections of the bottom, the steps, and the spray rails were extensively reworked, because pure speed is not the goal. Their ambition was more refined: create a hull that is efficient, predictable, and instinctive – easy to steer, even for a less experienced boater.

The Heritage 36’ combines safety, stability and comfort with high top speed, achieved with moderate power. The payoff is immediate and tangible: significantly reduced fuel consumption at cruising speed. In other words: more range, more freedom… and that rare sensation of a boat that moves forward with absolute ease. To reach this balance, they conducted countless CFD simulations. Every modification to hull forms was validated, then revalidated through new hydrodynamic runs. A demanding, iterative method where every detail is pushed to the extreme – scientific rigour in the service of emotion.
