The Antigua Charter Yacht Show – the must attend event for the global yachting industry professionals

In its sixth decade, the 63rd Antigua Charter Yacht Show is preparing the scene for the 2024 event at the historic
Nelson’s Dockyard.

Established in 1961, the annual event now celebrating its 63rd edition, takes place from 4th – 9th December 2024 at the start of the Caribbean sailing season. It is a celebrated meeting and is the world’s largest multinational networking event for charter yacht brokers, captains, vendors and press. Registration for the 2024 event opened on 1st June.

With the event in 2023 seeing 67 yachts attend the show, the 2024 edition is already shaping up to be even better.

The Antigua Charter Yacht ShowSet in the historic surroundings of Nelson’s Dockyard Antigua, the show attracts attendees from North America, Europe, and the Caribbean islands. Antigua has direct flights from major international airports and there is a wide range of hotel and villa accommodation within walking distance of the show. While the time honoured district still conjures up images of its 18th century past, there’s nothing dated about its amenities. Superyachts can now set anchor in Nelson’s Dockyard itself, thanks to the creation of a larger, upgraded dock. The marinas boast an abundance of maritime services with a chandlery and high flow rate fuel, plus a supermarket, gym, boutiques, laundromat, and medical centre. Everything the visitor or crew may need.

Showcasing the world’s finest Charter Yachts, the Antigua Yacht Charter Show attracts over 60 attending yachts, ranging from under 50ft to 231ft and over. The on-the-water show includes motor yachts, sailing yachts and multihulls.

The six day schedule includes numerous network opportunities organised via the dedicated hospitality desk. Situated at The Copper & Lumber Store Hotel in Nelson’s Dockyard. Charter Yacht viewings are made directly with yacht teams, often with advance bookings.

The main objective of the Antigua Yacht Charter Show is to create the perfect environment for charter yacht industry professionals to network, renewing connections forged over many years, as well as making new ones. The show is bustling with business opportunities and is one of the obvious reasons the show has been running for over 60 years, it works and industry visitors come back year after year. Always a popular event for the crew and attendees is the ‘Concours de Chef and Table scaping Competitions’. Now in its 24th year, this year’s theme is The Art of Charter: An Immersive Culinary and Sensory Voyage”. The Competition focus is: ‘Charter Theme Nights’ which invites yachts to showcase their most impressive, themed nights – those magical evenings that transport guests beyond the confines of the vessel and into a world of culinary and sensory delights.

The trailblazing event set the benchmark for the industry when it first took place six decades ago, and is today a highlight of the annual yachting calendar. Sunny climes, genial locals and a scenic backdrop are waiting for you. See you there!
