CoByEx has been active in the superyacht sector since 2015. In that time, the company has supported over 700 superyachts, made more than 17,000 connections and built coverage across 200 destinations. Those numbers matter, but not for the reason you might expect. They are the result of a decade spent learning how yachts actually operate, where pressure points emerge, how operations shift across a season, and why connectivity and IT quietly underpin almost every onboard experience.
The services CoByEx provides cover the full range: Global Crew Plans, International Crew Numbers, Data eSIMs, OneWeb and other LEO services, SatComs and VSAT, 4G/5G Cellular Data, IT Support, Licensing and Cybersecurity. All on one consolidated invoice. But the starting point is never the service list. It is the yacht.
Start With the Yacht
Before any recommendation is made, the team works to understand how each yacht operates. The cruising pattern. The crew structure. Whether there is a charter programme, how intensive it is, what the owner’s usage looks like compared to the crew’s, and what the data demands are across different legs of a season. That full picture is what shapes the solution.
This is not unusual in the yachting industry. What is unusual is what CoByEx does next.
A charter season ends. The yacht moves to a refit. A new captain joins with different operational priorities. An itinerary shifts to a region where the current connectivity setup is no longer the right fit. These are not edge cases. They are the reality of running a superyacht. CoByEx has a working system in place for exactly these moments.
Regular usage and account audits are built into how they work. Because a service that made sense twelve months ago may not be what is needed today. These are thorough, practical reviews, not tick-box exercises. Plans get adjusted. Data pools get reallocated. Services get added or removed. The goal is straightforward: what is being paid for should always reflect how the yacht is actually operating.
CoByEx applies that same standard across every sector it works in. They operate in environments where connectivity performance is non-negotiable and where the cost of getting decisions wrong is immediate and measurable. That discipline carries directly into how they support every superyacht on their books.
On Your Terms
CoByEx is built around its customers, not its suppliers. The starting point for any recommendation is always what is right for the yacht. Not what is convenient for the business.
That principle shapes the commercial side too. Where possible, all services run on 30-day rolling contracts. No lock-ins, no exit penalties. This is possible because CoByEx has full confidence in what it delivers. That confidence removes the need for contractual pressure and keeps control with the customer.
It also means the conversations are more honest. There are no rigid structures to work around, no incentive to push a product that does not fit. The team’s job is to understand the requirement first and build around it. Experts first, sales people second. That is not just a philosophy. It is how the business functions day to day.

The Team Behind It
The depth of experience behind CoByEx is worth understanding.
Director of Yacht Sales Suzie Hine brings over 14 years of shoreside experience in the superyacht industry. She understands the unique needs of each yacht and crew and is involved from the first conversation through to ongoing support and account management.
Chief Technical Officer Nick Moore’s background is unlike most in the sector. He joined the Royal Navy at 16 and spent 13 years on nuclear submarines before moving into the superyacht world, where he served for over a decade as an ETO and AVIT officer on some of the largest vessels afloat. That combination of military precision and hands-on maritime experience shapes how CoByEx thinks and what it delivers on board.
Head of Commercial Caroline Dawkins has been part of the business since 2017. Her focus is on making sure the commercial side of every client relationship is fair, flexible and built to last.
Beyond client relationships, CoByEx’s involvement in the superyacht industry is active and ongoing. The company co-organises Pop Up Club crew networking events, bringing together the people who keep yachts running at the highest level. It also holds membership of the British Superyacht alongside other established names in the sector.
Built on Trust
Trust in yachting is built slowly and lost quickly. The yachts CoByEx works with are complex, high-value assets with demanding operational schedules and principals who expect everything to work. The crew managing those systems needs a connectivity and IT partner who understands the environment, responds when it counts and does not need to be chased for answers.
As vessels become more technically sophisticated and expectations around connectivity continue to rise, CoByEx continues to evolve what it offers. New services, new technology, new ways of delivering performance and visibility to the people on board.
What does not change is the foundation. Understand the requirement. Build the right solution. Stay close enough to know when it needs to change, and flexible enough to act on it. That is what CoByEx has built its reputation on, season after season.
