A new international yachting benchmark transforming the Medeiterranean
Innovation, sustainability, and excellent services for yachts from 8 to 130 m.
The redevelopment of the three marinas that were the America’s Cup base in 2007, a world-leading open refit yard (replica of STP), a state-of-the-art dry dock, and new buildings with offices and commercial units with a space for lifestyle and entertainment venues, will truly redefine industry standards.
The international yachting industry is set to witness a momentous change with the ambitious Marina Port Valencia project, which promises to become a leading destination for sailors and yachts from all over the world. This comprehensive redevelopment will not just enhance Valencia’s port infrastructure, but will also set new standards in yachting services, sustainability, and innovative design, meeting the needs and expectations of the most discerning customers.
With the backing of the IPM-IMG Group and Ocibar, famed for their experience in large-scale projects, Marina Port Valencia will boast three separate marinas offering exclusive services for yachts of different sizes:
• Marina Sur: for yachts between 10 and 115 metres LOA.
• Marina City: designed for yachts from 12 to 130 metres LOA.
• Marina Norte: for yachts from 24 to 60 metres LOA.
Another key feature of this project will be the refit yard. Inspired by STP Shipyard Palma and its open shipyard management model, this 80,000 m2 technical area will be designed to provide refit and repair services to yachts up to 130 metres in the water and up to 60 metres on the hard, thanks to a powerful travellift with a hoist-out capacity of up to 700 tonnes, one of the most advanced of its kind and which will allow large yachts to be serviced quickly and meticulously.
This model also means that yachts heading to Valencia will be able to choose the experts they want to work with, allowing them to directly manage refit times and budgets. What’s more, they will have the peace of mind of dealing with professionals and specialists with vast experience, access to a highly qualified workforce, and the chance to enjoy a premium service that reflects the needs of luxury yachts.
A space will also be set aside for workshops for yachting experts, providing an optimal working environment and further developing the refit and repair industry on an international level. This will boost the efficiency of operations and position Marina Port Valencia as a global benchmark in yacht refit and repair services.
What’s more, the site will be home to Dry Dock Valencia, a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge technology such as automated yacht handling and storage systems. This concept won’t just optimise space, but will also ensure customers greater safety, efficiency, and convenience when it comes to the maintenance of their boats. Dry Dock Valencia will be able to accommodate small and medium-size yachts, a key advantage for local owners in search of specialised wintering solutions.
Marina Port Valencia will also transcend the port area with the creation of a dynamic space that combines yachting infrastructures with first-class lifestyle and business services to create an environment surrounded by exclusivity, privacy and security, with high added-value services for all customers and visitors. The project includes modern offices, co-working spaces, retail units, and a large entertainment space with restaurants and event venues. On top of this, there will be spectacular landscaping as the urban design will integrate a sweeping tree-lined boulevard of more than 23,000 m² connecting the port with the city of Valencia and offering accessibility and convenience to both local visitors and international customers.
Another highlight of the project is its focus on sustainability. The facilities have been designed with environmentally friendly materials and technologies, encouraging energy efficiency and integration with the natural environment. This sustainable vision clearly responds to current market demands and ensures that future generations can enjoy a cutting-edge and well-connected port committed to preserving the environment.
This ambitious project will redefine the standard of services in the Mediterranean and have a significant impact on the local economy and the community. With a long-term vision, Marina Port Valencia will attract superyacht owners, sailors and tourists alike, firmly establishing itself as a go-to destination in the international yachting industry.
